Peter L. Gladstone Named Chair of Family Law Section of the Florida Bar | Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A.

FORT LAUDERDALE – Peter L. Gladstone, Florida Bar Board Certified Marital and Family Law attorney and founding partner of the law firm Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A., has been named Chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar for the 2009-2010 term. As is tradition, he will be sworn in at the Family Law Section Installation Luncheon, part of the Florida Bar Annual Convention on June 24, 2009. “I am honored and delighted to have been appointed to serve as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. I am eager to draw upon knowledge, expertise and judgment of Section members and the Executive Council to bring about improvements to the practice and substance of family law throughout Florida,” said Gladstone. A member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar since 1990, Gladstone has served on its Executive Council or as an Officer for over ten years, acting in a number of capacities including Treasurer, Co-Chair and Editor of the Publications Committee and Co-Chair of the Legislation Committee. Gladstone is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of the New York State Bar Association. He is a past member of the Family Law Rules Committee of the Florida Bar and is a member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. Gladstone has lectured throughout the state on assorted topics concerning Family Law, divorce, custody and equitable distribution for organizations including The Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Annual Institute and Nova Southeastern University Center for Psychological Studies.
